Resin statue with a gold plastic halo. Molded and hand-patinated in Mexico. In this unique model, the mantle and tunic are blue to symbolize happiness, in harmony with the generous image of the Virgin. Typical of Mexican culture, the Virgin of Guadalupe embodies the characteristics attributed to the Mother of God: unconditional love, purity, charity, compassion, and patience. Considered the patron saint of Mexico, the Virgin of Guadalupe is a symbol of unity and hope for an entire people. Her image is said to have appeared in 1531 to the indigenous man Juan Diego, marking a spiritual turning point in the country’s history. Recognized worldwide, she embodies maternal protection and the deep faith of the Latin American people. Resin is a material that guarantees the statues excellent definition of lines and details.
