Ex-votos hearts

Initially it is a metal plate approximately 1.5m by 60cm on which the craftsman draws the ex-votos hearts that he wants to create. He then cuts it into these shapes using sheet metal shears and then files down the rough edges. The reliefs of the ex-voto heart are made shape by shape with an embossing hammer. Finally, once the ex-voto heart is finished, it is carefully painted by hand to give it the shine of the finished object offered to you. The ex-voto hearts in brass or in natural metal have a protective varnish.
An ex-voto heart is often a sacred heart of Jesus or a sacred heart of Mary. They can also be made of wood, copper, or other materials to sculpt.
