Figurative ex-voto

A figurative ex-voto is an ex-voto that takes the form of an object other than a heart or a painting. A figurative ex-voto can for example take the form of a pet, a farm animal, a forest animal, a sea animal. The figurative ex-voto can represent food, roof, life, freedom, company or studies, work, money, transportation, travel, business, luck, health… We can find among the figurative ex-voto organs like ex-voto lung, ex-voto liver, ex-voto breasts, ex-voto eyes, ex-voto eye, ex-voto leg; vehicles, plants, houses, crutches, orthopedic devices. The number of figurative ex-votos is as large as there are objects in the world. Each person will invent an ex-voto according to their need to pray or to thank for something.
