Description
Atlantis — The Pillar of CMLL
Atlantis is one of the most enduring wrestlers in lucha libre history, active at CMLL since 1983. A multiple heavyweight world champion, he is renowned for his flawless technical style. His mask versus mask match against Villano III in 2000 is considered one of the greatest matches in lucha libre history. He ultimately lost his own mask to La Sombra in 2015 at CMLL’s anniversary show.
Lucha libre is a living tradition of Mexico, born in the 1930s and inseparable from its mythical arenas: the Arena México in Mexico City, the cathedral of Mexican wrestling inaugurated in 1956, the Arena Coliseo and the Arena Puebla. Every Friday night, thousands of spectators flock there to watch masked técnicos and rudos clash in spectacular matches. This Atlantis Mexican wrestling mask is part of our collection of Mexican wrestling masks, handmade in Mexico.
