El Santo, El Enmascarado de Plata, is Mexico’s most famous masked hero. With over 50 films to his name, he battled every creature imaginable on the big screen: vampires, mummies, mad scientists, aliens — and werewolves.
In Santo vs las Lobas (1976), directed by Jaime Jiménez Pons and Rubén Galindo, Santo faces a clan of she-wolves cursed by a hereditary bloodline. The film strikes a darker tone than earlier entries, blending werewolf mythology and ring combat in a gothic atmosphere.
