Description
Cinta de Oro — From CMLL to WWE and Back
Cinta de Oro, first known as Máscara Dorada in CMLL, is an acrobatic wrestler active since 2005. CMLL tag team champion and winner of the prestigious Best of Super Juniors tournament in Japan (NJPW, 2014), he later joined WWE as Gran Metalik where he competed in the Cruiserweight Classic. His rope walks, dives, and extraordinary agility make him one of the most spectacular high-flyers of his generation, bridging Mexican lucha libre and Japanese puroresu.
Lucha libre is a living tradition of Mexico, born in the 1930s and inseparable from its legendary arenas: Arena México in Mexico City, the cathedral of Mexican wrestling inaugurated in 1956, Arena Coliseo, and Arena Puebla. Every Friday night, thousands of spectators gather to watch masked técnicos and rudos clash in spectacular bouts. This Mexican wrestling mask Cinta de Oro is part of our collection of Mexican wrestling masks, handmade in Mexico.
